picture & painting by Alex Evans.
i've been working on this idea for a while now, it first started when i found these strange berries while walking around mount royal about a month ago, and i thought "i have to take a picture with these!" but first i needed to think of an idea, i didn't just want to take a picture with them, i wanted it to have a meaning behind it, and do something a little bit more conceptual. and since i love painting, i decided, wait, why not mix photography and painting! at first i was gonna take the picture, print it out and paint over it, but i liked the picture as it was so i decided to simply do a separate painting inspired by it. so this is it, the story behind this work. i hope you like it! thank you <3 p.s; the painting was done on a 40x60 inches canvas with acrylic paint and pieces of newspaper. more on [link] ! |
